Controsand is a natural substrate custom blended for freshwater aquarium and terrarium use. Made available in various tones and granule sizes to achieve the perfect aquascape, it is safe for fish, invertebrates, and reptiles. Use in conjunction with Ultum Nature Systems Controsoil aquarium plant substrate to achieve optimum results.

The Kona variety of Controsand is a rounded pebble gravel designed for freshwater aquarium use. Kona’s deeper tones can be used as a supporting feature or to create excellent contrast. Like other Controsands, Kona can be used alone or mixed with other substrates for a custom look in planted tanks, terrariums, paludariums and more.
